Open Call for Submissions - Y’allywood Film Festival 2014
Y’allywood Film Festival and Southern Filmmakers Summit is open for submissions for films, speakers, panelists, and jurors for 2014! This year’s festival and conference will take place November 13th through 16th at the Goat Farm Arts Center in Atlanta, Ga. The theme for this year’s festival is “Conceptualizing the Voice of the Filmmaker in the New South”. Any film produced in the southeast is open for consideration. We are open to submissions of films produced in Georgia and its neighboring states in order to encourage all accepted filmmakers to attend the conference and be a part of the discussion!
FILMS: Submissions will fall into shorts (<40 minutes) and features (>40 minutes) categories. Sub-categories are documentary, drama, comedy, horror, experimental, and music videos. Regular submission fee for shorts is $10, and for features is $20. The regular submission deadline is Friday, August 8.
SPEAKERS: Submit a prepared thesis, lecture, or presentation for review along with any links to videos of other speaking engagements.
PANELISTS: Submit a treatment for a panel topic and points to contribute. Remember to keep it relevant to this year’s topic: Conceptualizing the Voice of the Filmmaker in the New South.
JURORS: Submit an essay on the topic of Cinema in the New South. Also include a summary of your academic and professional resumé.
